What each couples app does

  • Floom (ours)

300+ quizzes in six formats that you answer on your own iPhones, with stats after every round. Custom quizzes, a daily question with streaks and widgets for doodles, notes, countdowns and distance. iPhone only and new, with few ratings so far.

  • Paired

The best-known app in the category. Daily questions with answers revealed once you both reply, plus guided relationship journeys and expert content in the premium plan, games and date tracking.

  • Evergreen

Daily questions, couples quizzes and games, plus short lessons from relationship experts on topics like communication, conflict, intimacy and trust. Points and streaks keep the habit going.

  • Cozy Couples

Share your mood in real time, send love notes and answer daily questions. You also look after a virtual bonsai and pet together and decorate a shared home with the stars you earn.

  • Couple Joy

Couple widgets, mood sharing, a distance tracker and a together counter, plus games, daily questions, countdowns and a shared photo journal.

  • Agapé

One personalized question a day, with answers hidden until you both reply. Optional categories include long distance, money and parenting, and it also works with family and friends.

  • Between

A private messenger for two with photo storage, a shared calendar with countdowns to special dates and free calls. It’s been around since 2011.

  • Candle

Short daily rituals: swipeable questions, daily photo prompts, “thumb kisses” and streaks, plus local date ideas and games like Who’s More Likely.

  • Cupla

A logistics app rather than a conversation app: a shared calendar that syncs with Apple, Google and Outlook, shared to-dos, wishlists, key dates and widgets.

  • Lovewick

Card decks with more than 1,000 questions, 750+ date ideas, anniversary and date-night countdowns and a small couples journal.

  • Flamme

Daily discovery questions, a large quiz library, premium widgets for days together and countdowns, a shared bucket list, mood check-ins and an AI coach.

  • Couply

Research-based quizzes on topics like love languages and attachment style, daily question cards, date ideas and an AI coach. Its last update was in March 2025.

How to choose a couples app

If you want a daily habit of talking, look at Paired, Agapé, Evergreen or Candle. Most apps here include some games or quizzes, and Floom is the one built entirely around them, with 300+ quizzes you answer on your own phones. If your problem is logistics, Cupla and Between handle calendars and messages. For long-distance couples, widgets help most: Floom, Flamme, Cupla and Couple Joy have them, and Floom and Couple Joy also show how far apart you are. If one of you uses Android, Floom isn’t an option yet.
