About Floom
Floom is a couples app for iPhone, made by Alexey Smolygin, an independent developer in Texas. It’s built on a simple idea: you learn the most about each other when you both answer the same question and compare.
What Floom is
Floom: Couple Games & Quiz came out on the App Store on June 23, 2026. It has 2,900+ questions across 300+ quizzes in six formats: This or That, Would You Rather, Never Have I Ever, Who’s Most Likely, Is It Cheating and Red Flag or Green Flag. You each answer on your own iPhone, the results open together, and Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets keep your doodles, notes, countdowns and distance in view between rounds.
Floom is free to download, with an optional Floom Pro subscription that covers both partners while you’re paired. It works on iPhones with iOS 18 or later and is in English.
Who makes it
Floom is made by Alexey Smolygin, an individual developer doing business as Floom in the State of Texas, United States. Alexey designs and builds the app and writes the guides on this site.
How this site is written
- The free games use real question decks from the Floom app.
- Comparisons take ratings, prices and features from each app’s US App Store listing and say when they were last checked. We make Floom, so every comparison says that we aren’t neutral.
- Guides link to published research or official sources wherever they state a fact.
- If you spot a mistake, email support@tryfloom.app and we’ll correct it.
Not the flower delivery service
Floom the couples app isn’t affiliated with Floom, the UK flower delivery marketplace, or with other products that share the name.
